457 Labour Agreement License

OWI Group (Australia) Pty Ltd Awarded 457 Labour Agreement Licence

Following an extensive 3 year approval process by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship, OWI Group (Australia) Pty Ltd, a member of the Humares Group, has been awarded a 457 On - Labour Hire Agreement Licence by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.

The licence now means that OWI Group (Australia) Pty Ltd is able to source, recruit and deploy skilled labour from overseas and on-hire them to companies. To date the Department of Immigration and Citizenship has only approved very few 457 On - Labour Hire Agreement Licences, only less than a half a dozen of which are in Western Australia.

With Government and Industry bodies projecting a shortfall of over 50, 000 skilled workers in the coming years, Managing Director, Mr John Fletcher, believes that OWI Group (Australia) Pty Ltd is now very well placed to assist clients/businesses in addressing the continuing deterioration and lack of availability of labour in the Australian skilled labour market by being able to source, recruit and deploy skilled tradespeople from overseas.

The approval of the licence will see OWI Group bringing in up to 100 skilled tradespeople, particularly Boilermakers, Mechanical/Maintenance Fitters, Metal Fabricators, First Class Welders and First Class Machinists to name but a few disciplines for long term on - hire and deployment to companies throughout Western Australia.
